[mythtv-users] I've lost audio in Video and DVD modes

Yes, that was it.  I've been watching that thread today, just didn't 
have a chance to reply to it.  In my case, I had to add '-ao oss' before 
mplayer would give me sound.  So, apparently I am using ALSA's OSS 
emulation.  This is fine for now, as I'm just using 2-channel sound via 
my amp (via digital coax).

Soon I'll have a 5.1 speaker system set up, and I'd like to use spdif 
via alsa.  I'm not sure how to do that with my M-Audio card.  Does 
anyone have experience with that?  I'm guessing I need to do some heavy 
editing to ~mythtv/.asoundrc, which right now contains just the following:

	pcm.ice1712 {
	type hw
	card 0
	}

	ctl.ice1712 {
	type hw
	card 0
	}
