I would really reccomend creating your own lircd.conf file as I did in step 10.  The codes my lola was sending out were nothing like the ones I saw in any of the other files.  There are 16 different codes for the remote, so I maybe did not try enough, but you can use one of the lircrc files if you name the buttons the same.
