I was missing a DisplaySize setting, which I've now added, but it now
results in black bars down each side of the picture and a 4:3 image in
the centre of the screen.
I'm just comparing with running mythfrontend on my laptop which has a
widescreen display running in a native widescreen resolution. If I hit
"w" when watching a show transmitted in widescreen it fills the screen
perfectly.
When I get my VGA->Component transcoder, I'll be able to send a "real"
widescreen signal without the Nvidia driver whinging.

I know what you mean. Some of my shows are transmitted with the wide
flag set and the picture is then letterboxed! You lose half the
vertical resolution :( (UK readers: This is Smallville and E.R. on E4
watching on NTL cable. Anyone else see this?)
Thanks for the info.
