Just curious, what is your reception like?

I have had freezes and segment faults after several seconds when
reception is poor, eg. when fiddling with the antenna connection. This
seems to reproducible. Most of the time it only effects the front end
(so pushing ctrl+alt+backspace will restart the X server and restore
sanity), but sometimes the back end dies too.

I plan to do a gdb back trace, its just a function of inconvenience
caused and time available ;-).
