[mythtv-users] input/output error on mythbackend

I'm hoping someone can help me with this...

I've had a PVR-250 running fine for a week or so.  I then added a
PVR-350.  The PVR-250 is fine, inside and outside of mythtv.  I load
ivtv with:

alias char-major-81-0 ivtv
alias char-major-81-1 ivtv

options ivtv cardtype=1,2 ivtv_debug=1 tuner=2
options msp3400 once=1 simple=1
add below ivtv msp3400 saa7115 tuner

I can successfully capture video by:

cat /dev/video0 > ~/capture0.mpg
cat /dev/video1 > ~/capture1.mpg

Both work fine for over 20 minutes or so.
I try to schedule a recording for the first tuner (the PVR-350).
Mythbackend.log reports:

2004-04-15 09:30:02 Started recording "The Nanny" on channel: 2045 on
cardid: 5, sourceid 2
2004-04-15 09:30:03 Changing from None to RecordingOnly
error reading from: /dev/video0
read: Input/output error
error reading from: /dev/video0
read: Input/output error
error reading from: /dev/video0
... this goes on for the length of the show, then...
Couldn't read file:
/mnt/video/recording/2045_20040415093000_20040415100000.nuv
2004-04-15 10:31:16 MainServer::HandleAnnounce Playback
2004-04-15 10:31:16 adding: tv as a client (events: 0)

Is anyone experiencing this?
