[mythtv-users] nforce and SPDIF

I've got the same Giga-byte mother board. Its the best motherboard I've seen
for the price. Literly has everything. My only problem is that when ever
access it from an IP that is not on my internal network it crashes. It's IP is
192.168.100.5. I can access it from 192.168.100.6 (my myth front end box) and
everything works fine. If I access it from work (192.168.1.x) to set up a
recording throught MythWeb it crashes. I have a VPN linksys box connecting the
two networks and I also have a dynamic DNS going so I can get to it through that
method also. Its a really strange problem. I have disabled ACPI in the kernel
(not even compiled in. I did a make clean before re-compiling). Also I can ssh
to it with out a problem and the default web page from slackware 9.1 saying that
apache is installed. But as soon as I hit the MythWeb/index.html it get the
first little bit of the program listing and then it crashes and hard. I have to
hit the reset button to get it back. I can recreate the problem from home if I
connect to the dynamic dns ip/name instead of the internal ip. I know this may
not be the place to ask all of this but if someone could point me to a list that
may answer my questions that would be great.

Stephen

I'm a couple of weeks late, but I'm using a Gigabyte 7N400 Pro2 and it
works well. Has nForce2 with onboard audio. The Pro2 has S/PDIF and also
optical out (which is the main reason I bought it).
Plus GbE LAN, firewire, USB2, SATA, ATA-RAID and a bunch of other
features I didn't need. No onboard video though. Full sized ATX.
