I'm working with a new machine with the following
hardware:
Soyo K7VMP2 motherboard (VIA VM400 chipset)
AverMedia M179 capture board
I've got Debian Sarge installed, and have tried the
patches for the ivtv driver related to the M179, but
can not get beyond this input/output error. I've
tried patching the ivtv source, as well as rmmod and
modprobe of ivtv several times.
Yeah, I think that you should add that you do all the
modprobe stuff, and then run
But each time I attempt a 'cat /dev/video0', I get the
i/o error.
Does anyone know what might be going on here, and a
way to get past this?
