[mythtv-users] Record but not watch?

I have just completed my first MythTV installation.  

The Interface is gorgeous! 

I am however having problems.  

I am unable to view Live TV.  I can record shows and watch shows while they are recording.  Pause, FF, RW, etc all works.  But when I Click on MythTV I just get a black screen.  

Second problem is my mouse pointer is not visible.  I can move it across the screen and I see the buttons change on mouseovers but I can't see the pointer itself.

Any Ideas?
