I know I've been asking a new HD question everyday and I just want to say thanks
for all of the help I've been getting on this list. That said, I have another
question :)

I'm in the process of setting the modelines for my HDTV and I used Powerstrip to
get a couple of modelines:

 "848x480" 36.789 848 944 1024 1088 480 509 515 563 +hsync +vsync
 "960x540" 40.806 960 1056 1136 1216 540 550 551 563 +hsync +vsync
 "1920x540" 80.986 1920 2064 2256 2416 540 547 548 563 +hsync +vsync

When I use the 848x480 or 960x540 modelines I can get the video to come out ok
but if I use the 1920x540 one mythtv displays a very narrow picture. On my 65
inch tv I must have a 15 inch black bar on the left and right sides of the
picture. I should mention that the 1920x540 settings aren't perfect for my TV,
there is some overscan but the desktop seems to be centered. I'll try and tweak
the modelines to eliminate the overscan but it doesn't seem like it is off
enough to warrant the drastically narrow picture that I'm seeing.

Am I missing something obvious or is myth just going nuts on me? I'm on the
latest CVS of myth with danielk's HDTV patches applied and I have a nvidia GF4
MX440 video card.

Daniel
