[mythtv-users] Beyond Tv or MythTV????

I've used the version just before the current one. It was just before
they went to the BeyondTV name. They had choppy support for ATI cards,
the interface was sluggish, and you need to pay extra for things like
DVD, MP3s and photos. Additionally, while it's very easy to set up,
with an available easy to setup remote, it still runs on Windows.
Quality is nice on the BeyondTV package, but Linux platforms are just
more efficient in using hardware resources. The
scalability/interoperability is endless on a Linux platform as well. Of
course, that's the trade-off for anything in technology. It depends on
your time, patience and money. I think it's also depends on your Linux
comfort level. My MythTV experience is only one week old, but I can
already see the benefits over any Windows system.

Has anyone looked at BeyondTV from snapstream.com? I would be interested
in hearing what other folks thought of this package and how it compares
to MythTV. Thanks.
