I don't know if you really had IRQ problems or just 'imagining' that it would 
hurt to have all those devices on the same thing, but...

...have you tried the "CheapoBIOS"? Those are unoffical patched BIOSes for the 
K7S5A that re-enable some little tidbits that were disabled by Elitegroup for 
no reason.

The feature you would want is "IO APIC", you will have 24 IRQs. btw, Microsoft 
Windows isn't that happy when you change the setting after it has been 
installed, you be warned (probably you don't run MS Windows on your MythTV 
box, but whatever.)
