Torsten, Jarod, Thomas, Shawn, Everyone:

I was able to downgrade my ivtv drivers as well, and the pvr350 started
behaving better immediately.

http://download.atrpms.net/production/packages/fedora-1-i386/atrpms/ivtv-0.1.9-25.rhfc1.at.i386.rpm

I then started in with the test_ioctl tests, and everything was just spiffy.

I've got a minor lag problem - choppy video, server hist 100% busy
taping TV from the 350, that kind of thing - but I figure it's a smaller
problem than the I/O error one, so I'm way more confident. I owe a
handful of people a lot of thanks, a big thanks to the community in
general for being there and Jarod one extra for the walkthrough. My
ME6k looks great, and I'll be collecting the CSI in no time.

Quickly, though, I'll need some kind of innocent reason why the machine
fails to tape any daytime dramas. "Sorry, hon, dunno what happened.
Wanna watch LasVegas instead?" 8-)

Now to get it netbooting and get a massive HDD for my dhcp server.
