[mythtv-users] channel changing speed, is 3 seconds normal?

There is a long thread about this on the developers list and they were
suggesting that the delay came from the deletion and recreation of the
ringbuffer when the channel was changed. That is why they suggested
using either reiserfs or xfs.

I am trying to find out what the average channel change speed for other
people to see if my setup is configured optimally or not. 3 seconds
seems a bit high to me.
