[mythtv-users] blank screen

hi

when I start mythtv I only get a blank screen and cannot quit the
application on the regular way. I have to kill it.
In the byckground on the console it writes continously "Error opening audio
device ()". My soundcard works perfectly with oter audio apps and I chose
/dev/dsp as the sound device in mythtv setup. My alsa version is alsa
0.9.0cvs20030217 the standard suse 8.2 install.
The themes are installed correctly. What means the vbi device?
