[mythtv-users] Is the MythTV .nuv format non-standard ... or am I missing something?

This isn't strictly MythTV related, but is MythTV using a non-standard
version of .nuv? I can not get mencoder to convert it into avi for me
which is a little annoying. I've tried version 0.91, and 1.0pre1 (the
output below is from the later) to the same result. I'm not overly
familiar with .nuv but I noted that mencoder claimed to support it. I
also noted that there is some sort of MP4 patch floating around (where
I'm not sure) which fixes a header damaged problem in 0.91rc4, but I
can get the NuppelVideo file format detected.

? mencoder 1040_20030901201500_20030901210000.nuv -oac copy -ovc copy
-o tmp.avi
