It won't work, at least not without some work. The ATrpms lirc is
preconfigured for Hauppauge remotes (primarily for PVR-x50 users). You
need to get the .src.rpm file, and rebuild for your remote. You have to
install it, edit the spec file, then build your own...

The primary line you'd need to change is this one:
	--with-driver=hauppauge

But there may be other tweaks needed, since you likely don't have all
the ATrpms rpm macros...

The problem is that you can only build an lirc binary for one remote
type at a time, so it would require building a bajillion or so kernel
modules to cover all of them. Note that Freshrpms has an lirc also (
http://shrike.freshrpms.net/rpm.html?id=155 ), but it is prebuilt for
Pinnacle PCTV cards' remotes, and notes that you'll have to build your
own if you want to use another remote (also note that the Freshrpms one
isn't patched to work with i2c 2.8.0 though, so it won't work with the
latest ATrpms kernels, but should work w/stock RH kernels).

Axel, is there a way to clearly illustrate to people that the prebuilt
ATrpms lirc will ONLY work with Hauppauge cards, and possibly give them
some insight into what they'd have to do to rebuild from the .src.rpm
file for their own remote? I'll finally get some lirc rpm stuff into
the guide this weekend...
