[mythtv-users] Channel changing delays

Forgive me for playing devil's advocate, but this doesn't seem like a
very good reason. To buffer "a bit" of video you could assume that 1 or
2 frames worth of data would be enough to just start playing. So there
has to be another reason that the delay is bigger than just 1/nth of a
second instead of a seond or more.
Any detailed reason you can give for this delay?
What I especially would like to know if reducing delay is a technical
impossibility or if it's just difficult given the current implementation.
