Christian,
I can help with question 4 and 3
rm -f
~<mythuser-or-whatever-userid-you-are-using-for-mythTV>/.kde/Autostart/Autor
un.desktop
gets rid of the kde automounter for CD's.
check the commandline options for xine for stuff like -g = hide gui
and --no-logo which gets rid of the logo and --no-splash etc...
