[mythtv-users] mythtvsetup-0.12 and database problem

I'm having the problem below
running rh9 (fresh install) , apt everything with mythtv-0.12 apt-bleeding
I added the databases i.e mc.sql, metadata.sql (various) and the 
mythgame sql files.

[root at mercury root]# mythtvsetup
Told to create a NEW database schema, but the database already
has 13 tables.
If you are sure this is a good mythtv database, verify
that the settings table has the DBSchemaVer variable.

how do I fix this?

sorry if this question has been answered before, a quick look at the 
archives and didn't see an answer.
