That clears everything up. The listings were correct during summer, so 
mythfilldatabase didn't have to do anything.

I never downloaded listings to file before this came up, and I only 
started using MythTv this spring.

Maybe a solution would be to have an optional argument to 
mythfilldatabase to adjust with a given number of minutes ? That would 
help in almost any given situation.
