[mythtv-users] Cannot change frequencies with test_ioctl

Hey all....

I am trying to get my Hauppauge WinTV PVR-250 working on my Shuttle
SB61G2 system. I have built and installed ivtv using the latest drivers
from the Hauppauge site, and loaded the various modules per the instructions
on the IVTV homepage. I am able to cat video from /dev/video0 into a mpg
file. My problem is occurring when I try to change the frequency (aka the
tv channel) on the card using test_ioctl.

I first use test_ioctl to set the tuner to tuner 4. Then, I use
test_ioctl to try to change the frequency on tuner 4 to 204000 (channel 12
for cable-hrc). When I do so, it returns the following message:

>test_ioctl -r tuner=4,freq=204000
>ioctl: VIDIOC_S_FREQUENCY failed

When I cat /dev/video0, I can get static from tuner 4, so it seems that I
can at least grab video from the card.. When i switch to different tuners,
I get the black screen. I have loaded ivtv.o with the debug flag turned on,
but I do not receive any verbose error messages.

Has anyone else had this occur? It seems strange that everything except
changing channels should work fine.

My thanks....

Scott
