('mythfrontend')
| in order to control & view Myth, but you can interact with the screen
| interface using either a keyboard or an infrared remote (using LIRC).

I'm confused as well, what other interface would be used? The MythTV
interface is the only thing that gets user input, whether it be from
keyboard, mouse, or IR remote.

Any keypress needed by MythTV can be assigned to a button on a IR
remote, so there seems to be some other misunderstanding about how
MythTV works. Perhaps it's that the IR remote doesn't control the PVR
card directly?
