[mythtv-users] Manual transcoding?

Try hitting "x" while watching a previous recording. You can also hit "m" I
think it is, to edit the recording before you do this. Anyway "x" will
start the transcode... kind of a kludgy feel to it but that's the way it's
done. This was probably in the archives you just missed it...

Subject: [mythtv-users] Manual transcoding?

Sorry if this is a FAQ, but I couldn't find anything in the archives....

I have a number of shows I've recorded using the RTJPEG codec and, to save
space, I'd like to convert them to MPEG-4. I know (now!) that I can
automatically transcode them after they record but is it possible to do this
after the fact? If so, how?

Thanks,

Steve
