[mythtv-users] Importance of quality of encoder

Hi folks,
  I'm just about to put together a system, and was wondering if anyone has
any comments on the importance of the quality/cost of the encoder.
  For example, the Hauppage WinTV PVR 350 costs about 190 Euro here, while
I can pick up a WinTV Go for less than 50. Given that decoding and such is
done by the PC, does it really matter which I go for as long as I have a
fairly high spec PC?
