[mythtv-users] Need Input, will my server handle it?

Hi all, 

I've been contemplating getting a pvr-250 for some time now but I'm not
sure my little server will handle it.

I've been running RH 7.3 on my server for some time just fine but wanted
to add a pvr-250 to it and use it for my backend. Right now my
workstation is both frontend and backend. 

The server is a Dual PII300 with 512MB ram and 5x HD's. If I picked up a
PVR-250 for it I'll be wiping out the RH7.3 install and putting Gentoo
on it and picking up another HD just for Mythtv.

I use the server for Everything, serving up movies, music, ftp-ing and
as a test bed for my web site development. 

I don't want to spend the cash for the tv card and a week installing
Gentoo just to have the server struggle in day to day operations.

If anyone has any thoughts on this I'd be interested in hearing them.
