I just did some digging and switched the setting for the 350 to /dev/video1.  I now was getting a picture, but my system locks up about five seconds into playing video... so I guess I am were everybody else is now, hehe, from what I have been reading.

What device do you give for pvr350 tv output in mythtv?

Usually it's /dev/video16, look in /var/log/messages for the devices
ivtv takes.
