You always should backup you X-Config files --we all know it is more of
an art than a science to get it right :-) -- And whenever you are
working with cvs versions you are going to need to compile. My point
when I said "it just works" is that if you compile the right ivtv cvs
version and use .12 it works (and of course you will have to set up X to
display to it ie: XF86Config properly set up). I am running myth cvs
from 10/28 and ivtv from Jens from 10/29. They work beautifully.

That is my definition of "just works" _as compared with_ my GeForce2
that I compiled everything and it works every once in a while you get
out-of-sync problems, the image does not fit the screen properly, and
after a few minutes of watching anything things start looking jerky and
there's nothing you can do but put up with it.

But anyway, that is of course all IMHO.

I think I mentioned that, but if I did not I should have.
