[mythtv-users] Via M10000, PVR250 with CLE drivers - how to set PAL ?

Greetings All,

I seem to be regressing... I had RH9, kernel 2.4.20-8
using the ivtv tarball grabbing video through a PVR250
(/dev/video0). Alas, the frame rate sucked. Went back,
grabbed the via video drivers and installed. Now I
have accelerated video (e.g. via instead of vesa video
driver), But I am having a dog of a time getting the
PVR 250 to work again.

/dev/video0 - 2 are taken by v4l, so the PVR250 is
video3. I believe the dump below tells all - I can not
get the PVR250 (seemingly) into PAL mode. Using v4lctl
-c /dev/video3 setnorm PAL throws the same ioctl
error. test_ioctl -u 0xff seemingly comes back OK.
cat'ing /dev/video3 to a file yields (accelerated!)
snow.

[root at carpc tmp]# v4lctl -c /dev/video3 list
ioctl:
VIDIOC_ENUM_FMT(index=0;type=VIDEO_CAPTURE;flags=0;description="";pixelformat=0x00000000

So, does anyone have any good ideas ? So far I do not
see anything on the ivtv lists that looks helpful.
Will I ever get MythTV running ?

regards,

-Peter
