The PVR-250 does indeed have MPEG2 hardware encoding. It does NOT have TV-out
though, that is what the PVR-350 has. The PVR-350 also has a hardware MPEG2
decoder. Some PVR-250 family cards also have a hardware decoder, but
apparently none of the decoders in those cards are currently supported.
If money is not an issue, I recommend the PVR-350. I myself use two PVR-250's.
