[mythtv-users] better tv-out cards

Just my $.02 about my Nvidia card..

I have a generic GeForce4 MX 440 (it was a PNY I think). It has
normal vga out, and S-Video out. I works very nicely with the NVIDIA
binary drivers, but the only thing I can't get to work is the overscan
option. So basically I have black bars that are about .5"-1" around
the edge of the picture.

>From what I've read, the GeForce4's are not supported by nvtv. There
is a "TvOverScan" option for XF86Config, but it doesn't seem to make
any difference what I have it set to. Maybe someone else has found a
solution to this?

But apart from the overscan problem, everything else works great. I
have had it set up to display on both outputs, or just on the vga, or
just on the s-video.

If people think it would be helpful I could post my XF86Config file to
the group.
