I think I see your confusion. The 'website' has the tarballs
and also has a Themes Gallery.

The "blue" and "liquid" are the example themes included in the
distribution. At least "blue" is kept up to date in the CVS
source and should always work.

The other themes from the "Gallery" on the website (*Quatch*,
etc.) are not maintained in CVS. Most of the 0.8 themes have
not been updated and therefore only Photo and Purple Galaxy
are available as themes that work with 0.9x.

In any case, any distribution should include the "blue" theme
that works with that version of the software. If you want to
use a 0.8 theme with 0.9 or later, you need to at least copy
the "ui.xml" file from blue. This generally works but hopefully
the other themes will get updated with their own ui.xml files.
