The reason you don't see 11 drive comp. boxes (including CPU) is that it 
is the "wrong" solution.  Not to be demeaning or anything, but you would 
be much better off with just a bunch of disks (JBOD) in an external 
chasis.  Usually these are (SCSI or fibre-channel) raid chasis, and 
achieve the maximum density for a given footprint.

Ideally, you'd get a 1U rack-mounted CPU with a 2U drive chasis, which 
theses day can probably easily house 16 disks (haven't followed this in 
a while).  The additional benefit is individual drives would also be hot 
swappable (in a RAID situation) should one drive fail.
