It's almost certainly similar to the problem with the ivtv driver, then -- 
check out the ivtv-devel list, the thread's called 'IVTV DMA erros' for some 
stuff that people are trying to fix things.. Basically, making sure that 
things aren't shareing IRQs, and fiddling with some BIOS options to try to 
work around slightly broken hardware.  Apparently, that chipset doesn't like 
transferring large amounts of data around on the bus, and things can go 
wonky.  Recording video and audio, and and playing them back would tend to 
make this worse.
