Even better is to put your video all on a dedicated partition, because /var
gets used for a ton of other things (/var/lib/mysql, /var/log, /var/spool,
etc). Using a dedicated partition will significantly reduce trouble when
upgrading. I use a dedicated /video partition myself, which I simply didn't
reformat when I did a clean install of FC1 (after running RHL9 for some
time).

I was able to reimport all but two of mine (out of maybe 25 shows I had laying
around). Not sure what happened with those two, and haven't investigated
yet...

Yes it does, but I believe only on com1.

# head -10 lirc.spec
%kernelmodule lirc

# The driver(s) you want to compile in, e.g. "pctv", "serial", "any"
# Whitespace separated list of cards for which to compile a driver
%define drivers lpt1 sir_com3 it87 flyvideo avermedia tekram_bt829 any udp
avermedia98 com1 hauppauge

Summary: The Linux Infrared Remote Control (LIRC) package.
Name: lirc
Version: 0.7.0
Release: pre2_%atrelease 16

What serial port are you on?

Save the two shows not reimporting, everything was perfect for me. :)
