[mythtv-users] Caller ID (cidbcast) systray app for Windows

I couldn't get your systray application to run - when I run the binary I
get: 'The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135) Click on OK
to terminate the application. (This is under XP).

However, I wrote a CID client for windows that is compatible with the mythtv
cidbcast. Its not complete, but definately usable, so I'm not releasing the
source code yet. However, it is written in java so it should work on both
Windows and linux. If people would like to try it out:

www.kenbass.com/cid.zip

On windows: Unzip and run cid.cmd (you can add a shortcut to it in your
startup).
On linux: I think the syntax is different. Perhaps someone can refresh me on
this.

NOTE: Prerequisite is the JAVA 1.4 or later runtime library - you need to
download this from sun (http://www.java.com/en/index.jsp - click Get It
Now).

Please let me know how it works. Because it is written in platform
independant Java, I cannot easily integrate it into the system tray and
maintain compatibility. Therefore I minimize it and when a call comes in, it
pops up.
