[mythtv-users] PVR250 and Empty Mpeg files...

you have to download the firmware from the hauppauge site and then run the ivtvfwextract.pl script. Which creates the decoder and encoder files and puts them both in /lib/modules/ . When you take a look in there there should be 2 .bin files. to be exact: ivtv-fw-dec.bin  ivtv-fw-enc.bin

If you don't have em, you won't see any tv at all, so I do believe you have done that part right when you say you've got live TV up and running until the problem starts.

Try recompiling mythtv perhaps ?
