I read a while back on the ivtv list that they were hoping eventually to
be able to have the Freestyle/Rev1 decoder usable as a virtual
framebuffer type setup... i.e., have it decode to a virtual framebuffer
whose contents could then be output via some other mechanism (Xv,
DirectFB, etc). Has this been deemed impossible? Just curious; I
don't have one of these cards, anyway. I should really subscribe to
the ivtv list, anyway, since I'm expecting my M179's any day now...
