My thoughts as well ...

Personally, would never use either ... I'd only do e-mail at my PC, and
already have an answering machine. Just me tho.

Along these could also be MythIM (for "instant messaging").

Typing just isn't going to happen on my sofa ...

I haven't used the existing MythBrowser ... something your thinking it
doesn't do?

This I like ... I've given lots of thought into an opensource/non-windows
alternative to DVDProfiler ... a Myth UI would fit the bill.
www.dvdempire.com has UPC values on their web pages, so, scrape that and you
have the beginings of a UPC to dvd info catalog. A sophisticated perl writer
could get UPC to imdb refernce fairly quickly ...

This should also include DVD changer support. I have a Kenwood DVD changer,
and developed a library to implement it's serial protocol
(www.sf.net/projects/juken), SlinkE's could also be used for Sony changers.

Perhaps ... MythShare. Essentially a module that makes it easy to push
photos, video clips, etc. Think an interface my mom could use to push a
photo or video to my MythShare (and vice versa). I prefer the push mode over
p2p since I control who gets the dirty photos/videos of ... well, you get
the idea.

Uh ... no!
