Also, if you are posting a wish list, without even looking at the code, keep 
off the devel list.  The devel list is for discussing _code_.  IMHO, that's the
kind of thing that should be posted to the users list.  By the way, I'm not a 
developer, so this is just another users point of view. 

And _never_ cross-post, If your posting to the wrong list someone will tell 
you, i'm sure :-)

I think it's a mistake to use commercial software metaphores, when 
talking about open source.  They are two _completely_ different things.
Idealism aside, commercial software is 100% consumer driven.  Where as, 
open source _depends_ on the developers, who donate their time and ideas.
As a user, one can't expect to "call the shots".  Only enjoy the fruits
of someone else's labor. My point is that using "business" examples, for
something that is _not_ a business, doesn't work.
