I too have the Hughes Director Pack DirecTV box, and since it has no 
serial port, you need to get an IR blaster. I recently (well, 5 minutes 
ago, actually) ordered the Actisys IR-200L as recommended in the MythTV 
documentation. Whether or not it will work with this particular Hughes 
receiver, we'll see. I'll be happy to let you know how it works once I 
receive it....
