[mythtv-users] AITech Wavewatcher PCI - Zoran or bt878?

Seeing as how quite a large number of these cards seem to be turning
up on eBay and other retailers for low prices, I'd like to see if 
they can be used.

cites a person who says the card he bought has a bt878, but the
"I bought one and it has a bt878, and hence they all do!" logic
seems to be flawed. Especially since this other thread:

has a guy with a not-so-useful WaveWatcher in his possession.

Is there any way to tell for sure if the card can be used or not?

The card is cheap, but not THAT much cheaper when you factor in
shipping to Canada. I'd still go for it if there was a way to tell
for sure, but if I'm taking a gamble on this one I might prefer
to just opt for a cheap TV Wonder VE locally which is guarunteed
to work.

Ideas would be welcome, since I'm not exactly made of money. :)
