You've got it! :-)

Ok, I did all that, and it still didn't work. But then I switched to the
default.xbe that is distributed with the font exploit, and everything did
work. So in summary, to install your distribution on an xbox running the
font-exploit (aka dashboard-hack), I had to put the following files on the c
drive (/dev/hdc51):
default.xbe (from the font exploit distribution (aka dashboard-hack))
  vmlinuz (renamed myth_vmlinuz)
  initrd (renamed myth_initrd)
linuxboot.cfg (with myth_ removed from vmlinuz and initrd)
and put everything else on the e: drive (/dev/hdc50).
Couple of notes (though I haven't had much time to play with it):
  - would be cool if X had the XTEST extension enabled. Then you can use the
x2x utility to use your desktop keyboard/mouse to control the xbox's X11
display - I'm still looking for information on how to enable XTEST.
  - got mythfrontend running, and I can watch live tv. The picture is _much_
sharper (than gentoox without the rivafb). You especially notice it on still
shots like the blue background in mythtv, which seemed to shimmer under
gentoox. I checked lsmod though, and the rivafb module doesn't seem to be
loaded. Is it statically compiled in the kernel?
  - the picture/audio still stutters breifly about once every 5 seconds. CPU
load is slightly over 1, and mythfrontend (main process) is at about 83% CPU
(seems a little high, the xbox barely even flinches when running mplayer at
11% CPU). Is it the scaling issue? Could you give me a little more
information on what you did?
  - you said in the README that you are using a different remote on the xbox?
How is it connected? Is it a usb ir receiver running with lirc?
  - there seem to be quite a few people interested in mythtv on xbox. I don't
want to spam this list with lots of xbox-specific questions, but at the same
time running mythtv on xbox does have lots of unusual quirks. Perhaps we
should start a mythtv-on-xbox specific thread based around your distribution?
Again, thanks to everyone for all the hard work. This thing is amazing...
Don
