[mythtv] mythtv-setup issues & DVB-S(2) scanning

Hi,

I am setting up a (second) myth from scratch to test DVB-S2. Karmic Koala
Alpha4, mythtv trunk, empty mythconverg db. I have encountered some issues
and even though I follow both -dev and -commmit I am not sure if they are
known things or if some of them are worth a ticket so I am posting here to
find that out.

1) redraw issue - first keypress does not generate a redraw of screen so
if you try to navigate through the menu you are always one step farther
then you see you are. Example: enter mythtv-setup, first press arrow down,
cursor still highlights "1. General" while you are on "2. Capture cards"
already. Most painful it is on the DiSEqC setup screen where you need to
press Arrow Down and Enter on an empty screen to actually see the menu.

2) adding one DVB card (with default 2 recordings) will create two entries
in the "capturecard" table. They are almost identical - but the
"dvb_diseqc_type" is 'null' in the first entry and '0' in the second. Not
sure if this cannot create problems when tunning later. Maybe not as with
single recording the "dvb_diseqc_type" stays null.

3) "Scan of all existing transports" fails immediately with "Error tuning
to a transport" dialog with an "OK" button followed by "Programmer Error:
Failed to handle tune complete". Then the "Scan Progress" dialog can be
"Cancel"led and you end up with an empty "Scanning" dialog with disabled
"Cancel", "Back" and "Finish" buttons. The only way out seems to be
"killall mythtv-setup".

log about failing to tune to a transport:
2009-08-16 10:15:13.867 ChannelScanSM(/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0):
ChannelScanSM::RunScanner -- begin
2009-08-16 10:15:13.867 ChScan: ScanExistingTransports(1)
2009-08-16 10:15:13.869 ChannelScanSM(/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0): Unable
to find any transports for sourceid 1

log after closing all the dialogs:
2009-08-16 10:16:33.483 DVBChan(1:/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0): Closing
DVB channel
2009-08-16 10:16:33.484 ChScan, Error: Failed to handle tune complete.
QCoreApplication::postEvent: Unexpected null receiver

As for DVB-S2 scanning itself - mythtv-setup has just found four DVB-S2
channels on Astra 19,2E 11,362 GHz. This is with TeVii S460 (dmesg says
"Conexant CX24116/CX24118" and "cx2388x based DVB/ATSC card". As soon as I
figure out how to kill PulseAudio I'll try watching the HD, at last :-)

Thanks

Petr
