[mythtv] Question for frontend experts: implementing a CAM menu, where do I need to hook things up?

I've had friends over that have gotten stuck in this loop too :)

Also I have some channels named EPG*, and some channels that are used 
for updating firmware for various decoders. If I tune to any of those 
channels, mythtv will display a "bad-video-stream" error (if i remember 
correctly), jump to the menu, and tune back into the same channel when 
watching live tv again. 

Would be nice with a pop-up that ask you to change channel, remove it 
from the channel list or something when this error appears.
