I'm from the more settings the better brigade ;) I think there is
nothing worse than software that forces me to work the way the devs want
me to rather than the way I want it to. The mini-player works pretty
much how *I* want it to but I'm not so narrow minded as to believe my
way is best and the only way it should work. If people want a choice and
it doesn't over complicate the code or make it a nightmare to maintain
then that's fine with me. I think if there are sensible defaults for
settings then adding more doesn't make it any more difficult to install
it just gives the user some choice. Speaking from the developer side of
things one down side of more settings that can be a problem is it can
make testing new features like the background player a nightmare because
of all the different ways a user can have things set up :-(

I don't want to start a slanging match over this. My initial thought on
seeing the ticket was that it was a useful addition but I will go with
the majority decision on whether or not to commit this patch assuming
anybody cares.

I just hope this doesn't turn into one of those pointless discussions
were everybody has a opinion but no one can agree on anything like the
recent Video Sources discussion =)
