No, actually, I even tried decreasing the bit rate and the network 
traffic is still the same at 2.2 mb/s for a file recorded at low 
quality.  The same file in vlc is < 400 kb/s so I am sure it is not the 
bitrate, but something going on between the backend and the frontend.
