[mythtv] Building new Backend Driver Questions

that wasn't my question.
I know that DVB in general works fine with a board in the frontend...
I specifically asked about a frontend machine without a dvb board
controlling a backend machine with the dvb board.
I don't need n00b direction, I have the frontend working.

I compile my own from CVS since I am patching for autoplaylists and
contributed to the source for DVB.
What I AM ASKING is whether or not I need to do any patching for
controlling a backend, thus the post to DEV.
