Doug,

Many thanks for this, I have managed to get it to work now using X to
control the monitor aspect ratio.

I had various problems with this, the main one being that I was using
the 'GuiSizeForTV' option. I hadn't realised that when this is enabled
Myth appears to ignore the monitor aspect ratio. I've managed to disable
this option now and aspect seems to be OK.

Sorry for wasting -dev bandwidth.

Set the DisplaySize option in your X config.
