[mythtv] FileSystem to use for Myth (was Re:Channel change sp

I have all my critical data on XFS, including my 1.2 terrabyte fileserver
that is used for music and video storage.
Mine happens to be setup in 2 raid5 arrays but I have had 0 data loss
after several power outages from moving things around, bad switches
sending the system into constant hard reboots and heat problems with
having 8 drives in a small space before I got a new case.
Also, on my frontend, the /var folder where all the recordings are being
stored is XFS because I trust it and know it's fast. I am one of those
people still scared of reiser :)
I am running debian unstable exclusively with 2.4.21-ck3 kernel on the
front end and 2.4.21 vanilla+3ware,ieee1394 and XFS cvs builds along with
some server tweaks on the file server.
I have had some 3ware issues where it would loose a drive that overheated
and have to rebuild the array (maybe 5 times) and all went fine with no
data loss. I have also upgraded the drives on the controllers with no
issues, so from a practical point I can certainly recommend it from my
experience. For me, XFS has been extremely reliable and fast, and that is
why I stick with it rather than trying out reiser or something else.
