Just to let everyone know that there is work being done on the DVB code here in
the UK.

I've been having PCI problems with my test system (see linux-dvb mailing list)
so I haven't been able to help very much yet but I know Zaheer is working on it.
I hope he doesn't mind me mentioning that here.

The existing code didn't work for me as it doesn't hold the frontend device open
(required for the newer dvb-kernel driver) and the first DVB-T card I bought
isn't supported by the older driver.

Hopefully the updated DVB code will be able to work with both variants of the
driver.

There are issues ahead about how to handle cards that can record more than one
stream from the same multiplex. Looking at the database as it stands I don't
think the scheduler has enough information available to make this work.

I guess we don't have to worry about that just yet though.

Martin
